Our first of a batch of new music we are releasing this year. Punchdrunk Blues came about from watching Brokeback Mountain and setting the story to song. The title track was originally recorded on a phone in the Tate Modern, a group of people humming in unison. We set this to music, Horsemouth setting the scene with his Fahey influenced guitar flourishes. Howard later joined with improvised lyrics. Malkin Tower is a further improvisation on the theme of humming.

Graeme for the mastering, John Clarkson for the loan of the melodica and harmonium (omnichord and thumb piano next time), Ayesha Taylor for the loan of the banjolin, Robert Lee and Emma for the loan of the bass guitar, the Street for the loan of the bass drum, crash cymbal, one of the keyboards and any of the found sounds. Also the Commons project people at the Tate Gallery, especially Anna and Hannah Catherine Jones for the session they put together being the inspiration for this EP.
